If anyone has this same problem, please try verifying that you have enough (64MB+) server memory allocated to Apache/PHP in your server configuration settings. You can also add this to your wp-config.php file: define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64MB'); Third solution: Connect to your website using the FTP client and then go to /wp-content/ directory. There you will see /uploads/ folder. Right click on the uploads directory and give file permission 755. let me know if among three of not working cgreenleaf @cgreenleaf 11 months, 3 weeks ago Solution 1 Worked! Thanks dudes. I followed http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/http-error-when-uploading-images-5/ your instructions: - Make sure that your theme is up to date and runs the latest Version. In Enfolds case this is 3.5.4. This should by default fix all problems http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14282730/wordpress-media-upload-error with this bug. (Updating your theme files) - Also: make sure that you are not running any outdated plugins that could cause problems - Clear your browser cache and http error reload the page a few times (hard refresh). If you get the same results then please try a different browser and/or machine to see if you get the same results. If not then you are getting cached results. - If clearing your cache did not work then you could try to add the following code to the bottom http error uploading of the themes functions.php file I also have the latest WordPress 4.5.1 Nothing worked. I've included a temp admin login for you. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks! This topic was modified 5 months, 3 weeks ago by devynspirit. Please try again later. I've checked the permissions on the upload folder and they are correct (even tried setting them to 777) I've tried disabling all plugins , switching back to a default theme and adding various lines of code to the .htaccess folder. I've also tried the suggestions in this article. If I try to upload the files locally it works, if I try it on a different server it works. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this? It only happens on files with large file sizes. wordpress share|improve this question edited Jul 19 '14 at 13:32 Scott 16.2k73655 asked Jan 11 '13 at 16:45 Mark Lancaster 340516 have you checked the upload_max_filesize etc. that required for large file upload in your server's php.ini file? –jogesh_pi Jul 3 '13 at 5:14 add a comment| 5 Answers 5 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote Check Your function.php file(rename it) and than check its working.then you have problem in function.php i solved my problem through this may be useful to you. share|improve this answer answered Nov 19 '13 at 7:55 ebizz 12 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote accepted This turned out to be an issue with the hosting providor we used and how there server was setup.
