images HTTP Error. when uploading images Donna1923 @donna1923 12 months ago I keep getting the Error message HTTP Error come up when I try to upload images. Sometimes they will upload if I resize them but this only works occasionally. It might take one image of a certain size and then kick out the next one even though it is the same size. I am at a loss as to what to do. I have already been in touch with the host any they can't find a problem and say it is a wordpress issue. Can anyone help? If anyone has this same problem, please try verifying that you have enough (64MB+) server memory allocated to Apache/PHP in your server configuration settings. You can also add this to your wp-config.php file: define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64MB'); Third solution: Connect to your website using the FTP client and then go to /wp-content/ directory. There you will see /uploads/ folder. Right click on the uploads directory and give file permission 755. let me know if among three of not working cgreenleaf @cgreenleaf 11 months, 3 weeks ago Solution 1 Worked! Thanks dudes. Donna1923 @donna1923 11 months, 3 weeks ago I'm very new to all this. Could you point me in the direction of where I need to go on the site to make these changes. Thanks in advance. javawpscript @javawpscript 11 months, 3 weeks ago Through FTP. In like a client such as FileZilla or even use one that is online. jawhite @jawhite 7 months ago I was having the same problem and I added the code you suggested to my child theme function.php and it worked. Thank you! What I don't understand is why this problem started. I haven't updated the theme or any plugins in the last few weeks. It was working yesterday and broke today. lxxiii @lxxiii 6 months, 1 week ago This HTTP Error began with WordPress 4.5 for me. The first solution in Ahir's post resolved the problem for me. jbartlett3 @jbartlett3 6 months ag

I followed your instructions: - Make sure that your theme is up to date and runs the latest Version. In Enfolds case this is 3.5.4. This should by default fix all problems with this bug. (Updating your theme files) - Also: make sure that you are not running any outdated plugins that could cause problems - Clear your browser cache and reload the page a few times (hard refresh). If you get the same results then please try a different browser and/or machine to see if you get the same results. If not then you are getting cached results. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-when-uploading-images-17/ - If clearing your cache did not work then you could try to add the following code to the bottom of the themes functions.php file I also have the latest WordPress 4.5.1 Nothing worked. I've included a temp admin login for you. Please let me know if you need anything else. Thanks! This topic was modified 5 months, 3 weeks ago by devynspirit. Max memory for php =256MB and 64MB for upload size (that's the max my host will do). April 28, 2016 at 5:49 am #623483 JPOsteenParticipant I am having the same problem, but not on every image. April 28, 2016 at 3:23 pm #623826 YigitModerator Hi! Can you please try adding following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor add_filter( 'wp_image_editors', 'change_graphic_lib' ); function change_graphic_lib($array) {return array( 'WP_Image_Editor_GD', 'WP_Image_Editor_Imagick' );} Cheers! When i try and upload an image the image uploads then after crunching i get an (http error). I have tried deactivating all my plugins and then error is still there. But if I deactivate the theme by choosing the default theme then the uploader works fine. I have also called GoDaddy support and they have also confirmed that this is an error http error with the theme. Please help as i would love to get this fixed ASAP. Thank you for the info. Please make sure that the wp-content/uploads folder has the correct file permission. Regards, Ismael January 14, 2015 at 11:49 am #379369 gridaParticipant As far as i can see the permissions are fine. The error only happens with your theme active and with images larger than a few kb.
