InfoPath cannot add the event handler Reply Contact I have .Net 2005 and InfoPath 2007 installed. I downloaded the VSTO 2005. Going into a form and clicking programming interface it gives me errorInfoPath cannot add the event handler . To work with Visual Basic or C# code, Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Applications (VSTA) is required. The Microsft .Net Framework2.0 and Microsoft Core XML 6.0 must be installedprior to installing VSTA When I go into VB I can see and use the Office 2005 add-ins. I also re-installed .Net 2005, re-installed Office 2007, re-installed VSTA and re-installed VSTO. Still it gives me the same error. Even going through VB it cannot open an InfoPath form. comes because you have missed to install Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Application (VSTA). To add VSTA to Microsoft Office, follow the steps.1.Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.2. Select Microsoft office version and click Change. You will get a screen like this.3. Select Add or Remove Features and Continue.4. Expand Microsoft InfoPath, .Net Programmability support. Under Visual Studio Tools for Application select http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/2893/11188.aspx Run From My Computer and Continue. See the screen. Here is the error: InfoPath cannot add the event handler. To work with Visual Basic or C# code, Microsoft visual studio tools for Applications (VSTA) is reguired. The Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 and Microsoft Core XML Services 6.0 must be installed prior to installing VSTA….. He has installed everything that is required. (MSXML Parser 6.0 / VS-2005 / VSTA) but still facing this error. Here is the solution from “Faithful”: (1) Start “Add or Change Programs” from infopath cannot Control Panel (2) From the list of installed programs, select “Microsoft Office 2007”, see this: And click the “Change” button (3) In the dialog that comes up, click the “Continue” button (4) In the dialog that comes up, drill down to “Visual Studio Tools for Applications” and select “Run from My Computer”, like this: And click “Continue” (5) When the installation is done, you should be able to add events to your InfoPath forms.
