I have created a .msi for a DB2 driver, and it installs successfully when I execute the installer directly by double-clicking on the .msi from Windows Explorer. However, when I use the MsiInstallProduct() Win32 call from windows installer error my Delphi executable it fails - other .msi files that I have also created (for instance the Oracle driver) using InstallShield work successfully from both Windows Explorer and MsiInstallProduct() Win32 calls. The error is the generic "Note: 1: 1708" "Product: RTDB2Driver -- Installation operation failed.". I have included an msi log file from a successful installation (Windows Explorer) as well as an msi log from an unsuccessful installation (MsiInstallProduct). Does anybody have any help or advice on what my next step should be? Thanks in advance. Attached Files Logs.zip (212.7 KB, 283 views) Last edited by aecspades; 03-27-2010 at 04:46 PM. The custom action appears to be a part of a merge module. I hope this helps.
