I then installed Adobe Design Premium CS4, including Adobe Acrobat Pro. I use IE8 and Firefox 3.6.FYI, this problem does not occur unable to open pdf files in internet explorer 11 in Windows Vista or lower...only Windows 7.The problem is that when I click on links to PDF documents that open in a browser window, a blank error message box will sometimes popup and nothing else happens (see blank error box below). But other times when I click on the same PDF, it will open just fine. I tried opening it four times in a row, and it worked 3/4 times. Then, I did it four times again, and

it only worked 1/4 that time. Totally random. So I tried clearing the browser cache - no luck.Tried reinstalling Adobe Reader 9.3 - no luck.Tried uninstalling Adobe.com and Adobe AIR - no luck.Tried both IE8 and Firefox - both randomly showed the blank error box.The PDF documents are being rendered through PHP, so I also tried changing the PHP header(), but the same blank error box kept randomly showing up.What in the world is going on here? Once I close down IE8 I receive a message box: "Message from the Webpage Server Error: Class: WDJ_Acroform Method: Error Message: Could not send message!: The form I am trying to use is an interactive one for submitting returns and works on Win XP.This is apparently a fix for this but I can't figure it out (This is from https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1304874&tstart=-1):"Check an indicator "Display PDF in browser" on Adobe Reader application. This happens about 50% of the time. If I right click the link and 'save as' I can open the pdf file outside of IE 8.0 with Acrobat 9.0 when this happens. Any suggestions on how to fix this? internet explorer Thank you in advance. If restarted, the document would download properly and display properly as well. The 9.1.1 couldn't have solved the issue because all it has adobe blank error new is an updated Comments plug-in, compared to 9.1.2 which has more updated files. It happens with the Firefox browser as well. This problem also exists in the 32 bit version of Windows 7 RC. Saturday, May 30, 2009 3:00 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote I also have the problem with Firefox. I tried 'repairing' Acrobat 9.0 with Programs and Features. When that didn't work, I tried changing the settings in Acrobat under Edit/Preferences/Internet but nothing I tried worked. Any suggestions anyone? I'd be willing to try an older version of Acrobat. I know that the repair feature is technically supposed to serve the same purpose, but it may still be worth a try; in general, any problem which happens seemingly at random is usually a corrupted rather than a mi

I have been working on a clients computer for hours and still haven't figured this out. There is a contracted company website that she has to download forms from, when she clicks on "Open Form", a gray/blank PDF window pops up. Ontop of that window is an error box. The box is blank with a blue circle with a white questionmark in it and an "Ok" box. If I hit okay, it will do 1 of 3 things. 1. Go away and leave the blank screen. 2. It will pop back up again, and I get a blank screen. 3. It will bring up the document. I have had this problem on other Windows 7 computers and I unchecked "Display PDF in browser" and it worked. Those computers were running reader 9 and that solution worked fine for those users. I noticed that this didn't happen with Reader X on other Windows 7 pcs. The computer I am currently working on is running Windows 7 and Acrobat 9. I've contacted the contracted company's IT department, but they have never heard of the error. "Display PDF in browser" must be checked, and Reader 10.1.0 or later is not compatib
