Main Menu Error verifying STEAM UserID ticket I receive the error: 'You have been disconnected from the server. Reason: Error verifying STEAM UserID ticket' when I try to connect to a server. Important: If the Steam Network is down or too busy you may not be able to connect to a Game Server - to determine whether or not this may be the issue, please check the Steam Status Page - if the last update for that page is more than 20 or 30 minutes behind, there may be a Steam network outage. Please check to see if there are other players having the same problem on the SteamPowered Forums. If it does appear as though the Steam network is down, you must wait until the problem is resolved. If you continue to receive this error message, the issue can most likely be resolved by restarting the Steam client. If restarting Steam does not resolve the issue, please exit Steam and delete the following files from your Steam directory: Steam.dll SteamUI.dll Rename the ClientRegistry.blob The files should be found at C:\Program Files\Steam\ (the location on your machine will vary if you specified a different installation folder, or if you have moved your Steam installation). If you continue to see this issue, please contact Steam Support: Contacting VALVe Billing and Support Problem with Steam? Contact Steam Support Community Help Post or search in Steam Discussions for an answer to your question. Visit Steam Discussions Documentation Back to Top © 2015 Valve Corporat

my http://www.edge-gamers.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-57815.html regular game just mostly on insurgency the hidden source etc. So I tried to delete my ClientRegistry but it gives me a bunch invalid steam of errors so I tried to delete my whole steam folder except for my Steam.exe and my steamapps folders, but no luck. Should I just re install steam? or invalid steam authentication is there a way to fix it without re installing steam. 22BestPost is archivedsecretlySomeoneElse • 1374d, 12hOh man this error is a bastard. Have you tried deleting just the config folder? It'll force you to re verify but it might work. 1NoahArky • 1374d, 5hYea I tried it. Btw why does this happen because the Userid ticket is seeing if you have the game and stuff but with source mods there free and there's no need for checking if you do have it. 1
i try to install it disconnects me from valve saying my "Steam Ticket has Expired". Anyone have any ideal what that means? Gagoloth11-24-2008, 01:58 PMsounds like someone ells is using your account the "Steam Ticket has Expired" that happens when someone ells is using your account change your account password just to be safe i could be wrong. but i looked it up and a lot of people says that happens when your account has two people log in at the same time id rather be safe then sorry change your PW. btw have you Downloaded any like mods or skins from weird sites if so some mods and skins may have key loggers in them if you have uninstall them scan your system for viruses and spywere never download from weird sites again. ScrappyDoo11-25-2008, 01:32 AMHave you tried using the steps in the sticky regarding "error verifying Steam user ID ticket?" Try those steps first and see if that works. Steam just pushed a client update when you had problems, and it sounds like your client got messed up. Gagoloth11-25-2008, 11:09 AMits "Steam Ticket has Expired" not "error verifying Steam user ID ticket" two different things. ScrappyDoo11-25-2008, 01:43 PMI realize it's a different error message, but the underlying cause may be the same or related. Steam forums (and other sites) are being flooded with people experiencing the same "ticket expired" error. The penultimate fix is to delete the Steam client app and reinstall it. However, this will likely mean needing to reinstall all of your Valve/Steam games. That sucks. The approach listed in the sticky post to delete the clientregistry file seems to be working for a lot of people - not everyone - but quite a few. Other people are just manually logging out of Steam and relogging back into it. That doesn't seem to be as widespread a fix as the clientregistry fix. Seems to
