Shut down Steam 2. Browse to your Steam directory. 3. Locate and delete your "Config" folder. 4. Start Steam back up and it will re-download the files that were deleted. You must have access to your accounts email. When the config folder is deleted, you will be required to re-authorize yourself as it's sending you a new certificate. All you'll need to do is locate the email Steam will send you and enter the code into steam after you re-login. ----- Another method you can try: 1. Shut down Steam. 2. Browse to your Steam directory. 3. Locate and delete these files: "ClientRegistry.blob" and "AppUpdateStats.blob". (If you don't have file extensions turned on, they won't have ".blob" at the end) 4. Start Steam back up and it will re-download the files that were deleted. Not sure if this method requires you to re-authorize yourself or not. If someone can tell me whether it does, I will re-edit this. ----- If all else fails, you can attempt this method and it might solve your problem. I haven't heard of a case where this method hasn't worked. So if it doesn't work for you, be sure to let us know. 1. Shut down Steam. 2. Browse to your Steam directory. 3. Delete everything EXCEPT "steam.exe", the "userdata" folder, and the "steamapps" folder. (You don't have to worry about re-downloading your games, they're stored in the steamapps folder) 4. This should fix your problem, if not feel free to post here for more help.
