communication error Posted on 2011-08-09 Exchange SBS 1 Verified Solution 9 Comments 3,703 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-11 Just completed a server migration from sbs2003 to sbs2011. All went pretty well for the most part except for an smtp communication issue with a scanner. (Konica Minolta 4690mf). Scan to email (internal only) worked fine until konica minolta scan to email settings the migration at which point the exchange server IP address was change to new machine. Manually updated IP address info of new exchange server on scanner but still receive a "0113 [smtp] communication error". Not having much luck finding anything in the event log on the server either.
