I had no problems with them at all during the first couple of weeks after buying them - I have not used them too much. Last week I was on holiday and started taking a lot of pictures every day. On the second day I got a "System error" message and could not display ca. 60 of the pictures I took on that day. Two other days I could not display 1 / 15 pictures respectively, as the camera said it was "Unable to display" the pictures. When connecting to the PC, these pictures cannot be seen on the card at all, they do not appear as files. For example, I have PICT1081.jpg and PICT1099.jpg, but the 18 files between them are missing. However, they occupy a couple of megabytes, so after deletion of all files, Windows says that there is not a single file on the card, but only 985 megabytes are free from the total of 999.When using a file recovery tool, I manage to save most of the lost images, but I do not want to use this tool from time to time, it is not "normal". Have you ever experienced this problem with this camera? Thanks and regards, Csaba Reply to thread Reply with quote Complain Remsan • Regular Member • Posts: 112 Re: Z5 - "System error" and "Unable to display" messages In reply to gcs75 • Apr 9, 2005 Hi!In the begining I had some problems with my card. Have you tried checking that Sandisk card in computer using USB card reader? Apr 25, 2006, 2:23 PM #3 dekelsey61 Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 42 Thanks E.T- I use the card in a sandisk card reader all the time with no problems.I did discover that I downloaded all the pictures on the card on my computerthat was failing. Then I deleted all the pictures from the bad card. I putthe bad cardinto my camera and tried to reformat the card. After reformatting the bad card now it works with no problems. Could it be that by putting the card in another device it needed to be reformatted? I have used the card reader many times but this is the first time that has happened to me. Thank you again. But there's other possiblity, if card reader was reading, or especially writing to card when you take it out of it last time that could definitely cause this kind problem. Apr 25, 2006, 4:35 PM #5 d

I konica minolta z5 receive the normal notification that there is no card present.Update 8-31-2011: I no longer need assistance. The problem was a corrupt DCIM folder on the sd card. Once the folder was deleted and the card re-inserted in the camera a new DCIM folder was created and the access and system error problem went away. I have taken multiple pictures and accessed the files via playback and quickview with no errors occuring. Thanks.
