Dlna Protocol Error 2101
Edited Aug 11, 2008 I have purchased a new PS3, 40-GB and just updated the firmware to 2.42When I connect to my media center dlna protocol error 2006 (PC with Windows XP, Mediaplayer 11) through my wireless router(a D-Link DIR 655)I receive a "Protocal Error DLNA 2104" on the PS3, it stops playing whatever I was doing and looses connection with the media center..I have already replied ps3 no media servers were found to another threat on this subject which does not seem to give any answers. Google generates only more questions, no answers.......Has this issue ever been solved by Sony, if so what is the solution?????Anyone? If you are using Windows Firewall, the required Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports are automatically opened when you turn on media sharing. If you are using a different software or hardware firewall, you might need to open these ports manually. The following table shows the firewall ports that must be opened if you want to share media with other devices.Port Protocol Scope554 TCPlocal subnet only1900 UDP local subnet only2177 TCP, UDPlocal subnet only2869 TCP local subnet only5004-5005 UDP local subnet only10243 TCP local subnet only10280-10284 UDPlocal subnet onlyIf port 554 is already in us

You may get a DLNA error message: DLNA Protocol Error 7531. Solution: First, make sure that all your connections are working correctly. Then navigate to the PS3's Media Server: Settings -> Network Settings -> Media Server Connection. Disable the Media Server Connection, back out of the menu, then go back to the Media Server Connection and Enable it again. This should fix the issue. However, you may need to restart your DNLA service as well. For more information, please visit http://community.eu.playstation.com/playstationeu/board/message?board.id=147&message.id=22968.
