For further details, refer to Microsoft KB955536 - VBScript throws a floating-point exception when the C runtime returns a stale floating-point status flag in a Windows Server 2003 environment. –Stephen Quan Oct 3 '12 at 1:51 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 6 down vote accepted Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006' almost always indicates a divide by zero error. share|improve this answer edited Apr 15 '13 at 23:08 answered Apr 25 '09 at 20:27 Randolpho 42.6k14103147 1 "almost" indicates "not always" –Patonza Apr 20 '11 at 16:24 2 @Patonza would you prefer "

We are running ProClarity 6.3 and I have tried to increase the MaxQuerySize beyond 50000 but have received an overflow error: Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0006' Overflow /pas/en/src/PErrorPageInfo.asp, line 84 Wonder if you can help shed some light on this? You can search for ProClarity here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx?displaylang=en to find the .2214 released fixes. If that doesn't resolve the issue, try increasing the value for the IIS metabase property "AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed" from 204800 https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f41d58bf-cb26-4eae-ba58-afe58de3a87d/microsoft-vbscript-runtime-error-800a0006?forum=proclarity to 1073741824 (1 Gb) using a metabase editor such as the one included with the IIS 6 Resource Kit: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=56fc92ee-a71a-4c73-b628-ade629c89499&DisplayLang=en . The property is located on the W3SVC node on ID 7053. Please let me know your results. It is also intermitent, sometimes the error happens microsoft vbscript runtime and others it doesn't. If I get a page to display correctly, I can click refresh and the exact same page errors - I don't get it! Any ideas on what is causing this to happen and how I can fix it? Re: VBScript runtime error '800a0006' Newsgroup_User Sep 25, 2006 6:28 PM (in response to matthew stuart) Not sure if this will help but googling the error brought up this answer Overflow means you ended up with a number too large for the variable type. The easiest way to determine is output the value prior to attempting to calculate. You may just need to increase the size of the variable type (like int to long). -- Paul Whitham Certified Dreamweaver MX2004 Professional Adobe Community Expert - Dreamweaver Valleybiz Internet Design www.valleybiz.net "matthew stuart"
