Rman-06094: Datafile Must Be Restored
corrupted/lost after adding a datafile to database you are only having rman-06571: datafile 1 does not have recoverable copy the backup of database before adding the datafile, the newly added datafile is not available in the backupset
Rman-06094 Datafile 1 Must Be Restored Incremental
, what will happen how will you recover? Is the new added datafile will be available after the restore backup command? the answer is yes the control contains rman-06094 datafile 1 must be restored standby the information about the newly added datafile so RMAN creates a new datafile with the same name and location and applies logs to the datafile to recover. it is similar to sql statement alter database create datafile statement. here is an demo. I have backup of them on TAPE. This database has 1150 datafiles.I've put my DB in mount state and started a FULL restore/recover: run { restore database; recover database; } Everything was going nice until someone killed my restore job the Media Manager layer thinking that it was a dumb session: RMAN-10038: database session for channel ORA_SBT_TAPE_1 terminated unexpectedly So I started https://community.oracle.com/thread/3619879 it again: RMAN> run 2> { 3> restore database; 4> recover database; 5> } .... creating datafile fno=38 name=/raid_3/oradata/PV/PV_C03_NRAW_000_2014100100_001.dbf RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-00569: =============== ERROR MESSAGE STACK FOLLOWS =============== RMAN-00571: =========================================================== RMAN-03002: failure of restore command at 10/15/2014 10:58:13 ORA-01119: error in creating database file '/raid_3/oradata/PV/PV_C03_NRAW_000_2014100100_001.dbf' ORA-27038: created file already exists Additional information: 1 Now oracle is complaining that the file that is already on the disk. I know that!Is there any way to tell oracle to restore everything but skip the already restored datafiles? In other words, is there a way to resume my restore process, or do I have to type manually the datafiles that I want to restore instead of the whole database (remember that I have more tha 1k datafiles)? I was in file 760 of 1150.Thanks,Rodrigo 1045Views Tags: none (add) recoverContent tagged with recover, restore_databaseContent tagged with restore_database, resumeContent tagged with resume This content has been marked as final. You need to refer to http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO24293 and then perform the relevant RMAN operations and then run the restore job. Restore Oracle Database mohib3088 asked Jan 23, 2014 | Replies (4) Hi All, I am on my local machine (testing) windows oracle 10g Release 1 I've a rman full db bkp of yst (basic installation with 5 DF's). I wanted to restore a expdp dump of a server on my local db, so I created df's,schema's as in server db & fired impdp... it looked almost hanged so I stopped it. Now I want my local db to go to state where I had created schema's & df's of server db... I have rman bkp of archive logs. is it possible to restore as I want to? Also, I didn't take rman bkp after creating df's & schemas.... I tried rman "set until scn 123456" ie scn when I fired impdp cmd but gave error df exists..
