In fact, there is no login form at all, just the PHPMyAdmin logo at the top. On first load of the page, I get the warning: "Cookies must be enabled past this point." In the browser console, I get: Error: ReferenceError: $ is not defined ReferenceError: PMA_commonParams is not defined Error: TypeError: document.getElementById(...) is null I've also seen the warning "Javascript must be enabled past this point." Searching Google, there are quite a few people that have had this problem. Here's everything I've tried to rectify the problem in config.inc.php: Installed the latest version of PHPMyAdmin (v4.1.9) but the log in screen was entirely blank! Changed auth_type to http. This allows me to log in, but I get a 404 when trying to delete a table row Made sure the server date/time is correct blowfish_secret is set Cleared all cookies Changed host from 'localhost' to '127.0.0.1' Disabled IPv6 Here is my config as it stands. It was working fine, but not anymore. The only thing that has changed on the server is the application of security certificates. /* Servers configuration */ $i = 0; /* Server: localhost [1] */ $i++; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['verbose'] = 'localhost'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['port'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['socket'] = ''; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['connect_type'] = 'tcp'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysqli'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'cookie'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['AllowNoPassword'] = true; /* End of servers configuration */ $cfg['DefaultLang'] = 'en-utf-8'; $cfg['ServerDefault'] = 1; $cfg['UploadDir'] = ''; $cfg['SaveDir'] = ''; php apache cookies phpmyadmin share|improve this question asked Mar 17 '14 at 11:52 iltdev 72241941 add a comment| 5 Answers 5

(Windows, Apache, MySQL, PHP) phpMyAdmin comes bundled with WAMP5 I have Cookie Control Off but when I try to access my MySQL database using phpMyAdmin from localhost, I receive message "Cookies must be enabled past this point" at the top of my UI and many features of phpMyAdmin are "gone". If I Shutdown ZoneAlarm Security Suite, everything works fine for phpMyAdmin. I'm using FireFox 2.0.0.3 and it is configured to "Accept Cookies From Sites" and Keep until "they expire" What do I need to do to get local cookies to work properly Someone please HELP TIA Jim P Operating System:Windows XP Pro Product Name:ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite Software Version:7.0 September 1st, 2007 #2 ned Guest Re: Cookie control disabled ..."Cookies must be enabled past this point" Jim, I feel your pain. I see it as soon as I enter PMA. I can no longer change the parameters on the main must be enabled page. Interesting thing is that PMA's page browse buttons are not working either. PMA was working properly without any errors. Problem started recently. I contacted to server admin, but he said that there was no change in the server. I am sure that it is not a firewall problem. Other users of the PMA got the same error on different computers. I tried print_R($_COOKIE); command to see the cookies. There is no PMA cookie in the output. PMA configuration file is as follows: /* Servers configuration */ $i = 0; /* Server localhost (http) [1] */ $i++; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['extension'] = 'mysql'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['connect_type'] = 'tcp'; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['compress'] = false; $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] = (secret); $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass'] = (secret); $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'http'; $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] = (secret); Setting $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] = ''; does not work, either. Server version is Apache/2.0.63 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.63 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 PHP/5.2.5 on Linux There are other websites (not PMA) on the server and they do not have a cookie problem. I wrote the same problem to the PMA forum. http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=20345
