I tried to find an answer to this question but could not locate one in the help sections. When I reboot my PC which has Vista Home Premium install I get an Exception Processing Message stating a 'Windows - No disk error with this as part of the message '0xc0000013'I have to exit the message pane a number of times before it finally closes. Any suggestions to help stop this message?. I have uninstalled a few programs and it did nto change the message. I have also got an external hard drive and I renamed it on 'Computer' but it still did not change. Thanks for any help Saturday, May 19, 2007 1:22 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote I have EXACTLY the same problem, error message and number, and I'm running Vista Ultimate. (Recently upgraded from Vista Home Premium. I don't think I had the error before the upgrade, but I'm not sure. And I don't think it has to do with the upgrade.)Possible clues (perhaps we have some of these in common?): Acronis TrueImage Home v10.0 is installed (for backing up the entire system). I used it to create a Secure area of the hard drive where backups would be stored. This partitioned the drive in some special way. Later on I noticed there were 2 C drives listed, and one said "missing", so I got rid of it. (Creating a Restore Point was failing because of that extra C drive issue.)HP 6150 All-In-One Printer - this has given me endless problems with Vista and network compatibility. Report • #2 Ezrway March 27, 2013 at 14:50:28 That's what I thought after doing some online poking around. I have tried to run the SCANPST.EXE previously with no success but I still went through the steps documented on the link you sent me. I found the SCANPST.EXE and SCANOST.EXE in I found the SCANPST.EXE and SCANOST.EXE in the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033, a different location from the article at the link you posted. I am running Windows 7 x64, I don;t know if that accounts for the different location.I ran SCANPST.EXE on the file: C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst and got a message showing there were “Only minor inconsistencies." I let it run anyway. When I opened Outlook 2003 I got the same OUTLOOK.EXE – No Disk error 4 or 5 times. I did not see any “Recovered Personal Folders” or a “Lost and Found Folder” in the folder list. Then I ran the SCANPST.EXE on C:\Users\Andrew\AppD

Thanks for all the information which helped me fix this one. Since the problem appears with multiple applications I would suggest that it is not related to a specific app, but to a DLL that many applications share. In my case the problem was also card reader related. Because of the no disk 'No disk' message and the help of others in this post, I suspected that the issue was because the application was trying to scan the contents of each drive letter and failed with the Card Reader. My Card reader created Drive letters after the DVD Writer D:\ i.e E:\ F:\ G:\ H:\ etc If I removed the Card reader the drive letters are automatically removed and the error does not occur. After plugging the Card reader back in (after all I need it!) I found that by no disk error going to Control Panel,Administrative Tools,Computer Management and changing the drive letter E:\ (the first card reader drive letter) to z:\ this then fixed the issue. So it seemed that the rogue Application DLL is scanning all of the drive letters, but it stops when it finds a missing letter. This worked for me, but then I can't be sure it will work for anyone else. Thanks for all the help, I would not have fixed this without everyone helping! chrisleeuk, Aug 18, 2007 #61 teresaf Joined: Aug 18, 2007 Messages: 1 Hello all, newbie to the forum here. Just found this thread when I decided it was time to get to the bottom of this issue and reading through this entire thread, my conclusion is that it doesn't matter what the software is that you are running... it is the fact that there is a stray card in one of your card readers (or something in your external removable disk drive) when you install some software, and then everytime you boot up, if it is software that starts on start up, or when you go to run that piece of software you installed that day, hey presto, up comes the error message... to be fixed only by faffing about with your drive letters. (Haven't got to that part yet). Good call guys, thanks for that, I will know from now on to take everything out of removable drives or card readers before I install anything... now to get rid of the problem! I suspect mucking around with the dr
