up and it is very hard to get rid of no matter which button I click on. It finally goes away, but I don't know what makes it go away. It is very irritating. There is a red circle with a white X in it, where I put an "X" above. Thanks. USB, Card drives?, CD drive, etc. If so reboot and remove them. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top curry318 Posts: 99 This post has been reported. It also does this when I try to save something in Notepad. It seems to me like it wants me to put a disk in a drive to put something on it, not remove something. I'm not trying to put anything on a disk, just save it on the computer like always. I'm not doing anything different than I ever have before that I know of. This just started happening lately and I don't know why. I have turned the computer off and on many times since this began and it just keeps doing it anyway. What is: \Device\Harddisk2\DR5? I never heard of that before. Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top Xhi Posts: 6298 This post has been reported. Solved notepad.exe-No Disk Error Posted on 2012-02-21 Windows 7 MS Applications 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 852 Views Last Modified: 2012-02-22 Hello, I've had notepad installed forever and just last week a problem has occurred with it. When I try to save a document I get this error message. The only way to close the program at this point is with the task manager. Notepad is installed on my C drive and the letter of the drive has not changed, and this happens weather or not I have a removable disk in the computer or not. I'm using Windows 7 Pro Looking forward to your help. Nobus your solution worked. I created a new file and 'saved as' to a folder on my C drive, then closed it. I re-opened it, added to it and then 'saved' it and closed it without incident. Next I opened several existing files, edited them 'saved' them and closed without any further issue, so I believe the problem is solved. Thanks!
