I followed the following steps - git clone https://github.com/vysheng/tg.git sudo apt-get install libreadline-dev libconfig-dev libssl-dev lua5.2 libevent-devel liblua5.2-dev cd tg ./configure Got error "configure: error: no libevent found" sudo apt-get install libevent-dev make Get error "make: *** No rule to make target 'tgl/scheme.tl' needed by 'auto/scheme.tl'. That fixed my issue. I did configure error libevent not found ubuntu still need to add libevent-dev to get it to compile.
