I think I have an older vesion installed on my system. So I downloaded and compiled gstreamer-1.0.4 and it got installed in /usr/local/lib/gstreamer-1.0. After I did that, I again tried to compile the package but it still gives the same error that I dont have "gstreamer-1.0 >= 1.0.3" . I also tried to export the path "export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib/gstreamer-1.0" "whereis gstreamer-1.0" outputs gstreamer-1: /usr/lib64/gstreamer-1.0 /usr/local/lib/gstreamer-1.0 /usr/libexec/gstreamer-1.0 /usr/share/gstreamer-1.0 Actual Error Message checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu checking target system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu checking for a BSD-compatible install... /bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p checking for gawk... gawk checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking how to create a ustar tar archive... gnutar checking nano version... 0 (release) checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... yes checking whether make supports nested variables... yes checking how to print strings... printf

If you build the pieces from source, do it in this order: - gstreamer - gst-plugins-base - everything else Regards, Peter _______________________________________________ gstreamer-devel mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/gstreamer-devel signature.asc (484 bytes) Download Attachment Sérgio Agostinho Reply | Threaded Open this post in threaded view ♦ ♦ | Report Content as Inappropriate ♦ ♦ Re: configure: error: no gstreamer-1.0 >= 1.5.1 (GStreamer) found I think there are also some dependencies between gst-plugins-ugly/gst-plugins-bad and gst-plugins-good.The safe approach is- (orc)- gstreamer - gst-plugins-base - gst-plugins-good - gst-plugins-ugly - gst-plugins-bad- (other stuff)Cheers2015-06-16 17:23 GMT+02:00 Peter Körner <[hidden email]>:Hi On 16.06.2015 07:42, rajkuma wrote: > I have already installed gstreamer version 1.4.5, and I would like to > upgrade gstreamer version 1.5.1, but while installing gst-plugins-base-1.5.1 > getting this message.
