Please check your libxml2 installation. I don't have the root password on that machine, so I have managed to compile libxml2 only in home directory -- no permissions to copy it to the system directories. I don't have a good experience with Linux etc. so I believe it might be a simple question... Please reinstall libmcrypt. There does not seem to be any good / easy solution to this on CentOS 6.3. UPDATE: This guy has the solution rpm -ivh http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-7.noarch.rpm
