a couple of times. I followed instructions from these ones: Adding frameworks to project in Xcode 5 and having *relative* paths added xcode4: Linker error: Directory not found for option Still xcode is giving this error: Here's my current configuration: The bolts framework is so I can use the Parse SDK. I downloaded the blank project from here: https://parse.com/apps/quickstart#parse_data/mobile/ios/native/new It's working. I tried to copy every config it still doesn't work. ld file not found fobjc arc ios xcode xcode6 ios-frameworks share|improve this question asked Sep 21 '15 at 3:54 Kim Montano 262218 You could use cocoapods instead. github.com/ParsePlatform/Parse-SDK-iOS-OSX –BenJammin Sep 21 '15 at 3:58 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 6 down vote accepted Try deleting Bolts.framework from linked framework and re-add it. Also, in your Framework Search Path keep path until Bolts.framework like $(PROJECT_DIR)/Bolts if it is inside Bolts folder at your project directory path. share|improve this answer answered Sep 21 '15 at 4:05 Abhinav 18.2k32126240 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Here is the solution : Turn the "$(PROJECT_DIR)" attribute(might be non-recursive by default) into recursive option in Select Project Click on Targets Click - Build Settings Search for 'Framework Search Path' - Double click the input. The framework has been added to my project but the linker still claims it can't find my framework - my problem is with the LiveSDK.framework –SparkyNZ Dec 19 '12 at 20:54 I have this issue, but the framework is visible in my project. I deleted it, re added it, and still have the problem. What now? –Andrew Paul Simmons Sep 25 '15 at 15:01 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote The solution to this for external libraries is to add your framework's path to Build Settings > Search Paths > Framework Paths. Like this: /Users/MyMacName/Documents/FacebookSDK If it is something that "came with" xcode then it should work without this addition. share|improve this answer answered Oct 5 '15 at 15:04 NinjaBeetle 559 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote The screenshot shows how to do this in XCode 7:

Both the app OurProdTV and the framework target have a list of cocoapods specified framework not found in the Podfile, one of them is our own private Pod (= TRAAC) that both have listed. Cocoapod generates 2 Build Targets for each of these imports in the pods.projects Pods-OurProd-TRAAC Pods-OurProdCore-TRAAC Traac itself has dependencies specified in its pod spec s.dependency 'Mixpanel', '2.5.3' s.dependency 'Mantle', '1.3.1' s.dependency 'Analytics/Mixpanel','1.7.9' pod install decide to make now specific Mixpanel target for each of the our own Pods-targets. But when we try to build we get Pods-OurProd-TRAAC or Pods-OurProdCore-TRAAC we get error: ld: framework not found Mixpanel clang: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation) If I go look a the build folder: Debug-iphonesimulator • Mixpanel.framework • Pods-OurProd • TRAAC.framework • Pods-OurProdCore • TRAAC.framework When I look at the config file that cocoapods generated the the Path 'Debug-iphonesimulator' is actually not part of the search FRAMEWORK_SEARCH_PATHS. just the path to the Pods-OurProd FRAMEWORK_SEARCH_PATHS = $(inherited) "$PODS_FRAMEWORK_BUILD_PATH" GCC_PREPROCESSOR_DEFINITIONS = $(inherited) COCOAPODS=1 $(inherited) BITHOCKEY_VERSION="@\"3.7.1\"" BITHOCKEY_C_VERSION="\"3.7.1\"" BITHOCKEY_BUILD="@\"42\"" BITHOCKEY_C_BUI
