the Configuration button. Select the Mappings tab. If you don't see a .php extension listed, click the Add button. Browse to the PHP 5 DLL (which may be at C:\Program Files\PHP\php5isapi.dll). Type .php into the Extension field and leave everything else https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/248033 at the default values. Click OK. The extension and executable path will be filled out and under Verbs you should see "All". I should point out that I didn't have anything listed under the ISAPI Filters tab. Stop and restart your IIS server and browse to a .php file. (To restart your IIS server, open the IIS management console, right-click the local computer in the left pane, hover on All Tasks and choose Restart IIS.) Chances are, you're no longer getting the https://ardamis.com/2009/02/15/php-pages-return-a-404-error-on-iis/ 404 error, but are now seeing a 403.1 message, like: The page cannot be displayed You have attempted to execute a CGI, ISAPI, or other executable program from a directory that does not allow programs to be executed. Please try the following: * Contact the Web site administrator if you believe this directory should allow execute access. HTTP Error 403.1 - Forbidden: Execute access is denied. Oct 01, 2013 05:14 PM|peterviola|LINK Hi, The page requests causing 404 errors will be in the W3SVCx log folder of the site in question. You'll want to use a tool such as log parser to save yourself time to find just the file or directory 404 errors (or other error codes). Here's an example query you can use: logparser.exe "SELECT TOP 10 cs-uri-stem,sc-status from C:\wwwlogs\W3SVC1\u_ex131001.log where sc-status=404" >404.txt The output file will look something like this: cs-uri-stem sc-status ----------- --------- /test 404 /test3.aspx 404 Statistics: ----------- Elements processed: 2 Elements output: 2 Execution time: 0.02 seconds I like to create a batch file with several queries using parameters so that I can get a variety of data when I need to look at a log file. http://www.peterviola.com/automate-log-parser-to-find-your-data-faster/ Peter Viola MCTIP SA, EST, DBA 2008 MCSA Windows Server 2012 Please 'Mark as Answer' if this post helps you. www.peterviola.com Reply Striped Shir... 7 Posts Re: HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found. You can add the mime type to your server. Here you can read how to do this in windows IIS 7 http://technet.microsoft.com/nl-nl/library/cc753281(v=ws.10).aspx addition, a better link maybe: http://blogs.iis.net/bills/archive/2008/03/25/how-to-add-mime-types-with-iis7-web-config.aspx share|improve this answer answered Jul 9 '14 at 13:31 Michiel 1,71821226 when i add mime type .mp4 - video/mp4 server make file downloadable but flowplayer don't play file –Benyamin Jane Jul 9 '14 at 13:49 well then you're one step further!
