Not Found Error Fcp
• NEXT >> • "Not Found" and "General Error" by John Stevens on Sep 10, 2008 at 2:10:06 am Hello For some reason when I codec not found fcp 7 try to playback my clip on my timeline, there's a specific area codec not found you may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card on the timeline that says "Not Found" and "General Error" if I try playing it again. I tried removing my clip from my timeline and just played it, however, even with nothing there the problem persists. I tried re-rendering my clip and re-connecting it however that approach led to no results. Does anyone have any suggestions? Why is this problem occurring? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. -JohnReturn to posts indexReport Post •Re: "Not Found" and "General Error"by Rafael Amador on Sep 10, 2008 at 3:50:12 amJi john, That sounds to media corruption. Try putting the footage that is giving problems off-line and back on-line in batches until you isolate the one is causing troubles. Im having the same issue. It plays fine in the source window, it only gives the error when played of the timeline. And even when that particular clip is removed the system still trips up. One word....Eh? Any feed back would be much appreciated. I had this problem this week, I couldn't render or export or output to tape through FCP, because I continually hit a "Not Found" or "general error" message whenever I hit a specific spot in the timeline. The trouble spot was always in the same l

Codec not found, no corresponding hardware! 11 years ago #7560 dmb4sa1 OFFLINE Production Assistant Posts: 18 Karma: 0 I was recently working on the tail end of a huge project that has taken me weeks to do. I need to fix this problem before Sunday or I'm screwed. 1. I placed a jpeg photo into the timeline near the end of the video, I was almost finished with the video. 2. The picture made it to the timeline but I got a message saying, "Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card." 3. I pressed okay and continued on. From https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/8/1003398 that point on whenever I would put something into the timeline (video or jpeg) that message would come up and I would continue just clicking okay and going on with my project (it was very annoying but I panicked because the client was right there). The other problem was that once I began getting that error message FCP wouldn't allow me to preview my edit at all! The clips and pictures I placed in the timeline would succssesfully make http://www.calgaryfcpug.com/troubleshooting/7560-help-codec-not-found-no-corresponding-hardware.html it there (after okaying through the error message) but every time I pressed play in the canvas window I'd get the same error message. 4. I saved everything after finishing the project (which was tough because I couldn't even view what I had done but it was really late and I figured I'd take care of it the next day) and quit FCP. 5. The following morning (today) I opened the project and I immediatly get the same error message again and this time there is no canvas, toolbench, or timeline! And when I go to "window" at the top the three are grayed out. Also under "File" the "Restore project" and "revert" are both grayed out too! I have no access to my project whatsoever. How do I access my project again and once I do, how do I get rid of that error message? I need this by Sunday is there anyone out there that could PLEASE PLEASE help me! Thank you in advance to anyone who will try, I'm desperate right now! Reply Quote Re: HELP! when attempting to render footage?I am editing a video with various different clips of different aspect rations and settings. I use MPEG streamclip https://www.quora.com/Final-Cut-Pro-How-can-I-fix-the-error-message-Codec-not-found-when-attempting-to-render-footage to convert all of these files to Apple ProRes 422 before importing them into FCP7. However, when I load them into final cut pro 7, it doesn't allow me to render http://www.mac-forums.com/showthread.php?t=51880 certain footage, saying that "Codec not found. You may be using a compression type without the cooresponding hardware card."(The error message comes up for different clips based on whichever ones I not found drop onto the timeline first).I am clearly confused as to why this is happening, because I thought the purpose of compressing the clips into ProRes files was to conform each clip into the same codec. Maybe I have a misunderstanding of what codecs mean in general, or what the purpose of converting the files to the ProRes format. Any assistance in clearing codec not found this up for me would be terrific.UpdateCancelAnswer Wiki1 Answer Adrian PedrinWritten 164w agoLike a good fcp guru friend says..."its an old software" anyways, there a few things you can try, first copy everything to a new sequence and see if it renders, check if the the setting is set to render using codec or another one, did the problem start from the beginning? Final Cut Pro - Fire Error: Unknown File Hey guys, I am having an issue with saving in final cut pro, I get alot of work done, then after I want to save it, it says "File Error:unknown File" It only happens (so far) when working with DVCAM, and does not do this while working in any other format. I really need to straighten this issue out because its slowing me down in my work. I have tried everything including deleting the .plist files for final cut, and repairing permisions.. next step if nobody here can help me is to reformat and put all my work on an external. I have attached a screen shot of my problem below, if anybody knows why this is happenening it would be greatly appricieated since I have no clue why.
