May be the deployment itself is failing. Please check the status of the server that is integrated with JDeveloper where you are deploying the application (using the Application Server Navigator). For more information on checking the application server integrated, please review the below documentation: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24382_01/user.1112/e17455/deploying_apps.htm#BACDDHHF (Focus on "How to Crea

When clicking on one of the link it throws "Error 404--Not Found" however the same link works fine when the app is deployed on Weblogic 8.1. I have checked there is no change in the JSP code recently and JSP is copied correctly in the application directory. Please advise what I am missing here ? EDIT: The error was resolved when changed below code document.someForm.action="/somePath/someFile.jsp"; // code 1 to document.someForm.action="/somePath/SomeFile.jsp"; //code 2 Note that I initcapped the the server has jsp name as I have the jsp as Somefile.jsp. Now I don't understand why code 1 works in weblogic 8 and not Weblogic 10. What are the things should I consider when dealing with such case sensitive issues ? jsp web-applications http-status-code-404 case-sensitive weblogic-10.x share|improve this question edited Feb 23 '10 at 9:11 asked Feb 23 '10 at 8:28 Ravi Gupta 1,219103664 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted OKay here is the deal. It looks like Webapp URL are case insensitive in Weblogic 8 and case sensitive in Weblogic 10 by default. However good news is that we can manage this feature from Weblogic console. I toggled the below parameter to 'os' and my app started working fine without any other changes. Console->Domain->Security->General-> Advanced-> Web App Files Case Insensitive: This thread helped me finding out the solution. share|improve this answer answered Feb 23 '10 at 9:29 Ravi Gupta 1,219103664 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. Message Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) After refreshing an environment or loading a new custom deliverable, the OpenPages services are not coming up properly. The login page is display an 'Error 404--Not Found' message. Symptom After verifying that the end user is using the correct URL, the end user is receiving the following message when attempting to log into the OpenPages application: Error 404--Not Found From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.4.5 404 Not Found The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. Cause One of the OpenPages JSPs is not compiling properly. Diagnosing the problem Verify that the proper URL is being used. The 'Error 404--Not Found' message is to be expected when an incorrect URL is entered. Resolving the problem The IT Administrator should open and review each log file that is part of the standard set. See 'Related Information' section for a listing of the standard set of log files. The OpenPages log files may indicate which log file is not compiling correctly. If the issue was caused by a recent deliverable, the IT Administrator should contact the Managing Consultant (MC) to have an OpenPages Consulting Engineer review the issue. If the issue is related to a refresh of an environment, the IT administrator should verify: All the custom JSPs were refreshed / updated properly. The openpages-ext.jar was refreshed / updated properly. If the issue still persists, the IT administrator can attempt to: Clear the WebLogic cache (see TechNote # 1591907 for steps on clearing the application cache). Review the refresh procedures for possible errors (see TechNote # 1627965 for common refresh issues). Rename the problematic JSP (from the logs) to .bak (For example. PolicyHelper.jsp.bak).
