I ran the Get-OwaVirtualDirectory | select name, server, internalurl, externalurl | fl I get: Name: owa (default website) server: XYZSERVER Internalurl: https://zyzserver.xyz.local/owa externalurl: nothing there 0 Chipotle OP Martin1718 Feb 20, 2014 at 3:08 UTC you'll need to set the externalurl in that case, you can either do this through the EMC or powershell PowershellSet-OWAVirtualDirectory –Identity “owa (default web site)” -ExternalURL https:// 0 Poblano OP unrealone Feb 20, 2014 at 3:44 UTC Done that, external link is now present when I run the command. I still get the http error though, any thoughts? 0 Jalapeno OP G_Hughes Feb 20, 2014 at 4:58 UTC Is your external URL the same as your domain name? Internal Domain name : mycompany.com then your External address is mail.mycompany.com If so you would need to create a DNS entry on your Domain Controller (DNS Server) for mail. that points to your server. 0 Poblano OP unrealone Feb 20, 2014 at 9:54 UTC @g_hughes internal domain is xyzdomain.local external web domain is xyzcompany.co.uk any way, I added an A record for exchange.xyzcompany.co.uk to point to the exchange servers local ip address and that fixed owa internally! So https://exchange.xyzcompany.co.uk/owa works internally

Join Now Hi All, We have an on-premises Exchange 2007 SP2 server running on Server 2008 Standard, which we are in the process of migrating to Office 365 for http://www.chicagotech.net/netforums/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6128 Education using MigrationWiz. Our public IP address is changing at the end of the month, so to be ahead of any issues, we asked out local telecoms provider (domain registrars) to point our not found domain records to our new IP (which is already accessible). Once that happened, our OWA address has stopped working externally. Internal DNS takes care of the OWA address so there are no issue within our network for people accessing their mail. Outlook, smartphones and web mail all work as normal within our office network. Externally, however, secure connections to OWA result in the IIS 7 splash screen, file or directory which then redirects to a "404 Not Found" page. The 404 error does not look like the typical IIS error page, it is simply a plain white page that says "404 Not Found" at the center top position. Using http to access OWA rather than https works as normal. I believe there could be a couple of reason why our https access is not working: 1. SSL key needs to be re-keyed - can't imagine this is the case though since the server's I address/hast name has not changed. I don't think SSL certs are tied to an IP, just common name. 2. We are using a Peplink 580 load balancer to distribute 5 HSBB connections across the office. This has been the setup for the last 6 months or more and has not caused any issues. The only reason I mention this is that when accessing the https site on a smartphone, it throws a certificate errors which states that the common name does not match that of the common name on the SSL cert. It indicates that the address is pointing to "captive-portal.peplink.com", rather than the common name set in the SSL. 3. Permissions on the
