Problem Bitbucket is unable to view .cs 404 - file or directory not found. iis7 and .config files in commits or in pull requests and the following iis http error 404. the requested resource is not found message appears when try to visualise a .cs or .config file in a commit: Server Error HTTP iis 404 error when file exists Error 404 - File or directory not found. Information: Internet Information Services 7.0. Diagnosis Environment Windows Server. Internet Information Services (IIS) configured as reverse proxy. Cause When you install the .NET Framework and register ASP.NET for IIS it will by default tell IIS to not serve these files. This is generally considered a safe choice being .cs and .config files sensitive in case you are iis 8 404 file or directory not found deploying .NET applications. Resolution Change the web.config for the website removing restrictions for file extensions served:

Everything works except that from my localhost, if i browse a cgi page it throws HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. My ISAPI and CGI restriction shows everything is allowed. My Handler file or directory Mappings (at machine level) has *.cgi enabled with CGIModule (which runs \inetsrv\cgi.dll which exists). I dont know what else to check. Please advise. Any idea how to correct/debug this? (We will reinstall after we install IIS). Delete c:Perl if you have. Importantly, make a copy before you do. Uninstall IIS if you have it installed already. (We will reinstall). Delete c:inetpub and c:\Windows\system32inetsrv. Make a copy before you do, just in case. After uninstalling through control panel, execute the following uninstall command also for clean uninstall start /w pkgmgr /uu:IIS-WebServerRole;
