Can't find graphviz. heya, I'm having some issues installing pygraphviz from pip - yes, I know pygraphviz is in the repositories, but this is for a Django project, and I'm using virtualenv/virtualenvwrapper, hence the requirement for using pip. Code: Downloading/unpacking pygraphviz (from -r requirements.txt (line 2)) Running setup.py egg_info for package pygraphviz /bin/sh: pkg-config: not found /bin/sh: pkg-config: not found Trying pkg-config Trying dotneato-config Failed to find dotneato-config Your graphviz installation could not be found. Either the graphviz package is missing on incomplete (binary packages graphviz-dev or graphviz-devel missing?). If you think your installation is correct you will need to manually change the include_path and library_path variables in setup.py to point to the correct locations of your graphviz installation. The current setting of library_path and include_path is: library_path=None include_path=None Traceback (most recent call last): File "

is used for example in django-extension to http://www.alexandrejoseph.com/blog/2016-02-10-install-pygraphviz-mac-osx.html graph data models. Unfortunately when trying to install it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1510884 on Mac OS X an error is raised even if graphviz is installed (brew install graphviz). Running setup.py install for pygraphviz error: Error locating graphviz ... Your Graphviz installation could not be found. 1) You don't not found have Graphviz installed: Install Graphviz (http://graphviz.org) 2) Your Graphviz package might incomplete. The current setting of library_dirs and include_dirs is: library_dirs=None include_dirs=None To solves this error additional parameters have to be specified: --install-option="--include-path=/usr/local/include/graphviz/" \ --install-option="--library-path=/usr/local/lib/graphviz" Of course check that this repository points to your graphviz installation (should be the case when installed from source or via brew). This parameters can be either provided either when running pip directly (pip install pygraphviz --install-option...) or a requirements file (pygraphviz>=1.3 --install-option...). When installing directly running setup.py parameters have to be provided directly without the --install-option: python setup.py install --include-path=... --library-path=... jexhson alexandrejoseph contact at this domain F3F5 BC7A 1ED3 A160 9CE9 F5A9 ACA7 0A8B 90A5 FEBB
