I believe the latest version has IE8 compatibility fixes. –karim79 Jun 4 '09 at 9:30 The latest, 1.6.0.3 –anonymous coward Jun 4 '09 at 9:38 You need the 1.6.1 release candidate for IE8 support - it was added in RC2, current is RC3. –robertc Jun 26 '09 at 23:17 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 13 down vote accepted Figured it out. It calls before loading the file remote.js, which contain the declaration of object expected error remoteFunction(). This is another unexpected behavior from IE. Fortunately, it can be corrected by adding the attribute defer="defer" to second script invocation. This will specifically prevent IE from executing in order to give a correct output.
