I have tried all of the following (all with the same results): $('#btnCompleteHidden').click();or: $('#btnCompleteHidden').trigger('click');With plain JavaScript: document.getElementById('btnCompleteHidden').onclick(); $('#<%=btnCompleteHidden.ClientID %>').click();Or: document.getElementById('<%=btnCompleteHidden.ClientID %>').click(); I have tried making the button http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1414039/why-jscript-runtime-error-object-expected visible and still the same results. Intended functionality: 3 links that can be clicked to display a different div tag. I'm testing with Win XP Prof SP2, IE7, English. Later I'll be on a PC that has a slew of other browsers loaded, but I think it's my own ignorance--not IE7's. HTML: Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
