When I try to run it, I get an error message that says "Compile Error: Object Required" and it highlights the line time error 424 " Set TNAME = Form!frm_Staff.Form!FName & " " & Form!frm_Staff.Form!Lname" Select all Open in new window I think that the piece of code after the equal sign might be the problem, but I don't know what a better way to do this would be. Here is the larger piece of code: Private Sub btn_AddtoTeam_Click() Dim db As DAO.Database Dim rst As Recordset Dim strsql As String Dim TNAME As String Set db = CurrentDb Set rst = db.OpenRecordset(strsql) strsql = "Select Top 1 * from Team" Set TNAME = Form!frm_Staff.Form!FName & " " & Form!frm_Staff.Form!Lname rst.AddNew rst!TeamName = TNAME rst.Update Set rst = Nothing Set db = Nothing Exit Sub End Sub Select all Open in new window Any help will be greatly appreciated. 0 Question by:Megin Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 75 Active today Best Solution byDatabaseMX (Joe Anderson - Access MVP) Remove Set TNAME = Form!frm_Staff.Form!FName & " " & Form!frm_Staff.Form!Lname Go to Solution 11 Comments LVL 119 Overall: Level 119

This newly opened form has this code on load: Private Sub Form_Load() If [Forms]![frmCDs]![luwSoftware].Value Is Not Null Then List1.RowSource = "qrySW6" ElseIf [Forms]![frmCDs]![luwSoftware].Value Is Null Then List1.RowSource = "qrySW" End If End Sub It keeps returning the "Object Required" error message. frmCDs!luwSoftware exists... so I'm confused as to why this won't work. #2 (permalink) July 31st, 2006, 08:54 AM echovue Friend of Wrox Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Clinton, UT, USA.
