a user submitted a support request and was very frustrated. She was using Outlook 2003. Every time she attempted to create a new email message, either from scratch the module ole32.dll was loaded but the call or when replying to someone, she received the following error: This form requires Word "outlook 2016" infopath as your e-mail editor, but Word is either busy or cannot be found. The form will be opened in the ole error Outlook editor instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program. Here's the solution: Shut down Outlook. Go to Start, then Run. Type "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\ole32.dll" (without the quotes) and hit Ok. The bad system file should now be re-registered. Create a new email message and make sure the issue is resolved. I still get the message as before. Outlook appears to download the email, but does not show in read pane. There is message: Message cannot be displayed in the read pane. Open item to view. Clicking on the email in the Inbox list brings the famous OLE error message. I have laptop with XP Pro and it came with Office 2007 pre-installed. I installed Office 2003 over the top, but it was sluggish. I uninstalled Office 2007 and all applications are running quick and fine - just this problem with Outlook 2003 Any solutions? on September 29, 2008 at 6:02 pm | Reply Gary I did this fix and it did n
that I could not move email items from the message list pane to a directory in the left pane. I got this error: "Can't copy the items. An OLE registration error occurred. http://www.itexperience.net/2010/02/24/fix-an-ole-registration-error-occurred-in-windows-and-outlook-2007/ The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program" In addition, this problem caused much more strange behaviour. For example I could not double click any event in my eventvwr (oh, to https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21971914/OLE-registration-error-occurred.html be clear: double clicking was no problem, but nothing happened after that :) ) I could not drag and drop items in Windows Explorer I could nog drag and drop in Microsoft Office Visio 2007 ole registration Because of all these problems, the cause had to be an Operating System wide problem. Solution: In my case, I solved it by: Registering ole32.dll Repairing Microsoft Office 2007 Standard and Visio 2007 To register ole32.dll, do the following Click Start, click Run, type "cmd" and click OK In the Command Prompt, type Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll and press Enter A regsvr32 window popups, that tells you that the DllRegisterServer succeeded To repair ole registration error Office 2007, do the following: Click Start, click Run, type "appwiz.cpl" and click OK Scroll down to Office 2007, click Office 2007 and click Change In the Setup window, choose Repair dllregisterserver ole32.dll Outlook 2007 regsvr32 2 thoughts on “Fix "An OLE registration error occurred" in Windows and Outlook 2007” Johnny says: August 18, 2012 at 6:45 am I did this and still having the problem.
