printer. Mine was lost a week or so ago. No printers are currently installed, whatever happened wiped them out. I cannot add a printer because the spooler will not start. I get a 1058 error, "service cannot be started because it is either disabled or it has no enabled devices" I have tried to start it manually, and the HP printer software has tried to fix the problem, but so far, nothing. I have uninstalled the HP printer software, started the dependencies it said it needed, tried http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-hardware/print-spooler-service-will-not-start-error-1058/c8827f4c-57f3-45e0-ae6e-c069d8631e56 everythign HP suggested, and stillnothing. The probelm is in my windows XP, but I have no idea how to get the spooler to turn on. Any ideas?
