I received the DLNA error 2006 when accessing video from my PC. After dlna error 2104 ps3 media server reading much and trying various solutions what worked for me was simply disabling and enabling the option of media server under network settings on the PS3. After doing this i now can watch video without the DLNA error 2006, thanks. have issues with browsing files being slow? On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Good luck.EDIT:OOOOK, it seems that routers come equipped with a bunch of other options that will also slow d

I use XP dlna protocol error 2104 with WMP 11, and my PS3 connected via a linksys router. It used to be fine, but now for some reason whenever I try to connect I get a DLNA 2006 protocol error. If anyone has any tips for getting round this, it'd be much appreciated. mallet, Mar 13, 2008 Mar 13, 2008 at 11:53 PM Jay, Mar 13, 2008 #2 Jay Banned Joined: Jun 25, 2006 Messages: 17,392 Products Owned: 0 Products Wanted: 0 Trophy Points: 166 Location: on the battlefield.... I put this down to streaming from an external hardrive that is connected to my PC. I've more or less given up on both the PS3 and 360 as a media streamer. The best option I've found is to copy the file over to the HDD and play it locally. Think I'll go down the HDD upgrade route but that's a bit of a mess around really. "But our trip was different. For some reason, I am now getting the "DLNA Protocol error 2006" when I try to connect to my media server. It doesn't even detect the media server right now. I do have internet access though...that's not an issue. I am running Windows XP and using Windows Media Player 11. I have googled this topic several times, but I'm finding that I'm led all dlna protocol error over the place...some of the info is a couple years old...It's just not working out. I can't pinpoint the exact time that this started, but the only two major things that have happened to my pc around that time are I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and I had a prolonged power outage where my internet required being set up again by the provider. Any suggestions? Thanks! Long may your big jib draw, me ol' cocky! Reply With Quote 02-03-2010,07:31 PM #2 SaskNewfie View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Stunned as me arse! If it does you will need to find a way allow access to your WM11 server. The other possibility is if your PS3 is set to a dynamic IP address it could have changed during your power outage and you may need to reconfigure WM11. If this is the case I would set a static IP for your PS3 before you reconfigure. Otherwise, I
