I've just upgraded to Version 12.4(24)T3 on my 877. It all works, but I've a curious problem with scp:L203#copy flash:l203-confg scp://ian@192.168.71.3Address or name of remote host [192.168.71.3]?Destination protocol error username [ian]?Destination filename [l203-confg]?Writing l203-confg%Error writing scp://*****@192.168.71.3/l203-confg (Protocol error)The other way around, copy to the router, works. It's not a big problem since I can use tftp, but I'd like it work! Has anyone seen this?ThanksIan · actions · 2010-May-7 2:41 am · jmillermojoin:2010-05-02Tokyo, Japan jmillermo Member 2010-May-7 4:22 am Re: scp protocol errorCan you put a ftp protocol error debug on?debug ip scp · actions · 2010-May-7 4:22 am · pmlcojoin:2009-09-04Palm Coast, FL1 edit pmlco Member 2010-May-7 6:11 am It produces no output, at least no more than before.L203#debug ip scp Incoming SCP debugging is on It does say incoming SCP debugging though. If I do it the other way round, i.e. copy on the remote host from the router I also get an error, but the copy does work.ian@fs:~$ scp -1 ian@router:le203-confg . ian@router's password: le203-confg 100% 10KB 9.8KB/s 00:00 Disconnecting: protocol error: rcvd type 19 · actions · 2010-May-7 6:11 am · jmillermojoin:2010-05-02Tokyo, Japan jmillermo to pmlco Member 2010-May-7 7:16 am to pmlcoCheck out this link from Cisco:»www.cisco.com/en/US/docs ··· p1027188Do you already have aaa configured as well as scp enabled? · actions · 2010-May-7 7:16 am · pmlcojoin:2009-09-04Palm Coast, FL pmlco Member 2010-May-8 2:26 am SOLVED: scp protocol errorAAA is not enabled, it is not necessary for scp.
