Protocol Error Definition
a research server. What is wrong? A: A number of users have experienced getting disconnected from a research server while working with Stata, and then find they are unable to log back on to that particular research server protocol error safari due to a "protocol error". This is due to a known conflict between Stata and version 5.1 of RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol). If this happens to you please follow these instructions: Contact ciser@cornell.edu and let us know which research server(s) you were using so that we can log off the "hung" session for you. Log on to another research server to continue working.
