I have talked with online support with no solution to the problem. I have done soft and hard resets renaming the backup file and all. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. It seems to stop the HotSync application when updating the DocumentsToGo. Here is the HotSync log info that I received after the last hard reset: - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\AddressCitiesDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\AddressCompaniesDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\AddressCountriesDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\AddressStatesDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\AddressTitlesDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\applebees.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\arbys.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\awrootbeerus.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Background-Fave.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\BackgroundThumb-Fave.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Blazer_Bookmarks.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Blazer_Cookies.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Blazer_Field_Autofill.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Blazer_Find_Autofill.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\Blazer_URL_Autofill.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\BtExgLibDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\CalculusDB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\CalendarLocationsDB-PDat.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\CitiesDB.PDB - Already exists: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\ConnectionMgr50DB.PDB - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\DGraphConverter.PRC - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\DocsToGo.PRC - Installed file: C:\Program Files\palmOne\Bobbie\backup\DSLib.PRC - Installed file: C:\Program
After cleaning the dirt from around a cap. it seems to be working again and I am trying to reload it from the Desktop. In the end I basically succeeded but I haven't recovered the mapping of applications to built-in Launcher categories and it worries me that something else may be missing. I had done a hard reset. I have apps in flash which are preserved and I will leave. Also some pdb backups - but which I am not going to restore as Desktop was the most uptodate. Each install failed as follows: ... Report of Mandarin.PDB seems irrelevant - it always reported the first application or db it installed but it wasn't always that one. Built-in applications are configured to do nothing to save time because they are loaded ok in previous attempt. I finally got it to complete by temporarily removing all apps in the desktop /backup/ folder. Searched web and Palm web site without finding an answer (web had two reports that didn't really help me - I think trying to open an already open database and a particular app I don't have trying to transfer 0 byte files). (Maybe the Unsaved preferences pdb is the one with the app classifications and that is not saved on the desktop?). 4answers many too protocol files palm Comments See all(0) Cancel Edit Add comment Anonymous 0 August 16, 2011 Hello. This is because a database is not being closed properly. If you delete the .PDB file you will most likely get the same error on another database. Have you installed any apps recently?
