Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next > Destructor Mobile Evangelist Messages: 75 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 I remember seeing this on the board some time ago, but I thought I remembered that this issue didn't affect US models or something like that. Anyway... After installing the Palm Audio Update, I was messing around with one of my documents to try to see if I could fix the odd sounding system sounds, when I decided to hotsync everything back up again incase I messed up something. System wouldn't sync. I found this error in my log: OK Category database open failed HotSync Error: Unknown error. (1) -- Backing up db Bluetooth Trusted Devices to file C:\Palm\SteffeT\Backup\Bluetooth_Trusted_Devices.PDB System synchronization failed Protocol Error: Too many files. (4403) After looking dumbfounded at the error message for a bit (as I still have 7MB free in memory), I realized what it meant. I had the 345+ file error. After nuking an old version of XCade out of my palm (10 files or so), everything worked with no problem yet again. Unfortunately, this leaves me with barely any space left to actually install anything (even though I have 7MB+ free of memory). I thought I remember that this error only affected the non-US Tungstens for some reason or another. Either that or it could be attributed to lack of sleep this morning. Does anybody have any suggestions as what I could do through Filez or something like that to get rid of spare files? I don't run any kind of web browser, I don't use bluetooth any, and I really don't have the space on my expansion card to move any programs over (as it's now filled with music thanks to Aeroplayer). Incase you want to know a few things, my ROM Size on my card is 8257536 bytes and was created on 9/11/02. And I'll be glad to run a few programs if anybody has any suggestions. And no, I didn't have the keyboard app running at the time of the last sync. Thanks in advance. Destructor, Feb 6, 2003 #1 Jennifer S Mobile Deity Messages: 12,442 Likes Re
