Every year, five special-edition quarters would be released, each with an obverse representing a state, until a quarter had been minted for every state. These limited-edition coins were released into circulation in the order of which they came into statehood. Changes on the Obverse and Reverse Washington's portrait is still on the obverse of the state quarters, but some changes were made. The word "Liberty" was printed smaller, and the phrase "United States Quarter Dollar" was moved from the reverse to the obverse of the coin. The reverse of the state quarters feature the year minted and one of the 50 unique state designs. The designs found on these quarters were chosen by the state governor and will never be reproduced again. 1999-D ANACS netAU-50 CW Damage Misaligned Dies $19.99 http://www.allcertifiedcoins.com/coins_errors2.html Next is a certified nickel with mis-aligned dies this happens when one of the dies shifts so one side is normal and the other side is slightly off center. ANACS gave this a net-grade http://www.collectorscorner.org/state_qt2.html because of some counter wheel damage. 1999-D ANACS MS-64 Delaware STRK Thru grease $19.99 This Statehood quarter has a Struck Through grease error on the obverse and reverse. This quarter error error coin is graded Mint State 64 by ANACS. 1999-D ANACS MS-64 New Jersey STRK Thru grease $19.99 Another statehood quarter with a Struck Through grease error on it. This one is on the reverse, the coin is missing the "u" in revolution. This error coin is graded Mint State 64 by ANACS. 2000-P ANACS MS-65 South Carolina STRK Thru grease $19.99 2003 missouri quarter A pleasing error graded Mint State 65 by ANACS. He we have a South Carolina quarter dollar with a struck through grease error on the front and back of this coin. Low price on this error coin $19.99. 2001-P ANACS AU-58 Kentucky Major die break $29.99 Another statequarter with an error on it. This one is in a ICG holder which states; CONECA Mint Error, Major die break. the error can be seen on the reverse at 9:00. 2001-P ANACS MS-64 New York DIE Crack $19.99 A die crack error that starts at the Q in Quarter and goes to the bottom of Washington's base. Although this is a common error on coins you can see them with the naked eye rather then needing a 10x magnifying glass just to see it. 2001-P ANACS MS-63 New York Struck from worn dies $24.99 Not knowing what to look for made this challenging to say the least. I used a 10x magnifying glass and compared it with the one listed above. I think the strangest areas is on the lettering on the obverse.
