Quickbooks Install Memory Error

If you are using a quickbooks install your system has only 0mb of free memory 64 bit version of Windows and are getting this message, the amount of memory installed may show an incorrect amount. Why this is happening QuickBooks Desktop requires a minimum of 1GB of memory available on the computer in order to install and run QuickBooks Desktop. If your computer does not meet this requirement, QuickBooks Desktop will not install. QuickBooks Desktop may not be able to detect all the memory that is installed on a 64 bit version of Windows, this causes the message to display an incorrect amount of memory installed. Detailed Instructions Replace the existing Framework.xml installation file with an edited version: When installing QuickBooks Desktop from a download On your keyboard, press + R to open the Run window. Type in %temp% and click OK. Locate the folder created by the set up. The name of the folder will depend to the version of QuickBooks that you are trying to install (Pro, Premier or Enterprise) Copy it to your desktop. Note: If the file is not available in temp folder, run the Installer again. When you reach the Welcome to QuickBooks screen, click Cancel. the extracted version of the installer should now appear on in the Temp directory. Inside the installation folder, open QBooks folder. Right click Framework.xml file and select Edit. Note: The file should open in a notepad. Look for MinRequirements Change 1000MB to 0MB. From the File menu, click Save. Close the notepad Go back to the main installation folder and run Setup.exe When installing QuickBooks from a CD Copy the QBooks and ThirdParty folders from the CD to your desktop. Insert the QuickBooks installation CD in the drive. If the InstallShield Wizard starts, close it. Double-click the Computer icon. Right-click the QBooks folder and select Copy. Right-click an empty space on your Windows desktop and select Paste. Go back to the CD directory listing, right-click the ThirdParty folder, and click Copy. Right-click an empty space on your Windows desktop and click Paste. Open the QBooks folder on your desktop. Right-click the Framework.xml file and select Edit. Note:The file will open in a Notepad window. Locate the text below in the file Change the XXXXMB to 0MB. From the File menu, choose Save
