Invalid Server Certificate Google Chrome Fix
Wiki Pulse Graphs New issue Add Specific Error Message For Invalid Browser why do i keep getting security certificate warnings on my phone String #492 Closed bdkjones opened this Issue Aug 4, 2015 · 3 comments Projects None yet Labels the site's security certificate is not trusted chrome bug Milestone 6.0 Assignees No one assigned 2 participants bdkjones commented Aug 4, 2015 Currently, if you supply an invalid browser string to Autoprefixer, the tool fails http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=212140 with the message: internal error. This is not helpful at all. Several of my customers have wasted quite a lot of time trying to figure out why Autoprefixer won't run, only to discover that they made a typo in the browser string parameter. It would be very useful to provide a descriptive error message in this case. Something like: "Autoprefixer https://github.com/postcss/autoprefixer/issues/492 failed to run because the supplied browser string parameter is not valid: [browser string parameter]" bdkjones commented Aug 4, 2015 What would be really cool is to add a function to the CLI that lets you pass a proposed browser string to Autoprefixer and have the tool return whether or not that string is valid. This would let me validate browser strings as soon as the user enters them rather than waiting until AP runs and fails. ai commented Aug 4, 2015 Autoprefixer had good error name before, but seems like I miss a code, when I splited Autoprefixer and Browserslist. ai added bug 6.0 labels Aug 4, 2015 ai commented Aug 31, 2015 Should be fixed in autoprefixer-cli https://github.com/ai/autoprefixer-cli/blob/master/test/binary.js#L392-L394 ai closed this Aug 31, 2015 ai modified the milestone: 6.0 Jan 14, 2016 ai removed the 6.0 label Jan 14, 2016 Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. For some reason I am constantly getting certificate errors when hitting sites where I really shouldn't be getting them - twitter, picasa, google analytics (but gmail works), my bank, etc. This is happening in all browsers. This is happening in all networks (at work and at home). This is definitely an issue with my laptop or operating system. I know the usual cause is my date being set browser certificate error incorrectly, but it's definitely correct. The error I am getting in Chrome is the following The site's security certificate is not trusted! You attempted to reach www.site.com, but the server presented a certificate issued by an entity that is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may mean that the server has generated its own security credentials, which Google Chrome cannot rely on for identity information, or an attacker may be trying to intercept your communications. You should not proceed, especially if you have never seen this warning before for this site. I have tried manually accepting the certificate, but it doesn't work - I still get the same error every time. I checked this answer - Endless Security Certificate Errors - and used that advice (reset my Internet settings), but it didn't make any difference. windows-7 certificate https ssl-certificate share|improve this question edited Sep 8 '14 at 17:27 Tomas 2,36751836 asked Dec 17 '10 at 9:23 Jaco Pretorius 227139 Browser safeguard was my main problem with this issue after uninstalling the program my internet cert browsing is back to normal. –user362794 Aug 29 '14 at 4:52 add a comment| 4 Answers 4 active oldest votes up vote 5 down vote accepted Your problem might be that your new computer is missing some root certification authority (CA) certificates.
