I'm still pretty new to C; I was thinking that a bitfield could be masked similarly. but thank you! –MRT89 May 7 '12 at 17:17 Bitmasks per cell are not as useful as bitmasks per row/column/box. And don't forget that you'll have to backtrack sometimes (after you have picked the low hanging fruit) –wildplasser May 7 '12 at 17:30 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 8 down vote accepted Arrays are indexed from 0, so the loops should be for(i = 0; i<9; i++) and not for(i = 1; i<10; i++) In your case, you probably override part of the stack, but in general, going out

with memory protection, notifying an operating system (OS) about a memory access violation; on x86 computers this is a segmentation fault 11 caffe form of general protection fault. The OS kernel will, in response, usually perform some corrective action, generally passing the fault on to the offending process by sending the process a http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10486001/segmentation-fault-11-in-c-code signal. Processes can in some cases install a custom signal handler, allowing them to recover on their own,[1] but otherwise the OS default signal handler is used, generally causing abnormal termination of the process (a program crash), and sometimes a core dump. Segmentation faults are a common class of error in programs written in languages like C that provide low-level memory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Segmentation_fault access. They arise primarily due to errors in use of pointers for virtual memory addressing, particularly illegal access. Another type of memory access error is a bus error, which also has various causes, but is today much rarer; these occur primarily due to incorrect physical memory addressing, or due to misaligned memory access – these are memory references that the hardware cannot address, rather than references that a process is not allowed to address. Newer programming languages may employ mechanisms designed to avoid segmentation faults and improve memory safety. For example, the Rust programming language employs an 'Ownership'[2] based model to ensure memory safety.[3] Contents 1 Overview 2 Causes 3 Handling 4 Examples 4.1 Writing to read-only memory 4.2 Null pointer dereference 4.3 Buffer overflow 4.4 Stack overflow 5 See also 6 References 7 External links Overview[edit] Example of human generated signal A null pointer dereference on Windows 8 A segmentation fault occurs when a program attempts to access a memory location that it is not allowed to access, or attempts to access a memory location in a way that is not

Try removing your node_modules directory and recompiling your modules. If you get a build failure, please paste the relevant bits (ie, the file that fails to compile). Edit: somehow missed your last post. Apologies.
