If the mail server is different from your web server (i.e. not localhost) I'd check with your hosting provider whether they enabled some sort of firewall that blocks connections on the SMTP port (port 25 usually). Load up the game, instantly greeted with this error. Can't connect, falling at the first hurdle. I have to wonder exactly whats been going on over at the Ubi studios in the time between the closed beta and the open, clearly it wasnt fixing anything... I have to say that im getting increasingly annoyed with this game and the seemingly none existent effort that has gone into fixing its countless issues. I pre-ordered after the Alpha as i really enjoyed it, now i find that my season pass is just an extremely expensive XP boost and the servers are still in such a sorry state that i can't get past the main menu and there's ONE WEEK until the final launch!! I honestly think its a great game, when it works.
