tried deleting the scope, restoring the backup dhcp database, deleting both the backup and original dhcp databases. We're running TrendMicro for AntiVirus on the server, I added the 'C:\windows\system32\dhcp' and 'C:\windows\system32\dhcp\backup\new' dhcp server error 1053 folders to the exclusion list. There is also plenty of space on the hard drive (183GB). None of the local clients appear to have issues renewing and releasing IP addresses. Our one remote user occasional has trouble getting an IP address when connecting through VPN (RAS) on the server. Any ideas? Monitor an unlimited number of servers with $49/year With the current low prices for servers and the need for processing power, even a small company may end up with quite a few of them.
