Since you have Wordfence installed then there is a possibility that Wordfence needs to see some htaccess http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-internal-server-error-in-wordpress/ code and may actually be causing the 500 error. Not really sure what the cause is yet on your particular website/server, but this information is good to have posted to start troubleshooting with. Do these steps and let me know the results and I will continue troubleshooting after you have done these steps: 1. Use FTP and rename the /wordfence plugin folder and rename the /bulletproof-security plugin folder. 2. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/500-internal-server-error-after-latest-update/ Delete your root and wp-admin htaccess files. skyhrg @skyhrg 10 months, 2 weeks ago I have deleted BulletProof folder, I have deleted htaccess, and I have reinstalled WordPress to the latest version manually. I actually just manually reinstalled the latest wordpress, deleted BulletProof, reset my DB password, etc. and it looks like I have my site back. But I'm a little skeptical of reinstalling Bulletproof because it'll edit the htaccess files. But l

I am really novice to this, and i can't access to error loggs, without help on how to do it… I press the back arrow and can access the admin panel plus site, just cant complete the update, as error pops up and crash the site… Viewing 9 replies - 1 through 9 (of 9 total) esmi @esmi Forum Moderator 10 server error months, 2 weeks ago Try: - switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme's folder inside wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php internal server error & root .htaccess files - from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones. - running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php alchemylife @alchemylife 10 months, 2 weeks ago Hello, first two options didn't work. I am going to do the third one, but, before, i have a question. Will posts and images be deleted? esmi @esmi Forum Moderator 10 months, 2 weeks ago No. Your content is stored in your database whilst your media is stored in the wp-content folder. alchemylife @alchemylife 10 months, 2 weeks ago Ok, thanks, you mean upload all files and folders of fresh download of wordpress 4.4? or 4.3.1? I think that the problem has to do with super cache, as yesterday, i pressed delete cache and site messed up, just disactivated (but still installed). You recommend i unistall it completely and check again or it is irrelevant? esmi @esmi Forum Moderator 10 months, 2 weeks ago you mean upload all files and folders of fresh download of wordpress 4.4? or 4.3.1? 4.4 You recommend i unistall it completely a
