is not my issue. From this unanswered link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/767320 You can see that the problem has been around for OVER A YEAR and still not address by Firefox. The problem is as the title says, EVERY link server not found windows 10 I click will bring up a Server not found error message and I must click "Try again" repeatedly to get the page to load. It becomes really annoying after typing a long response and clicking the Send button only to have to re-type everything because of "Server Not Found" BS. I will try to bump this post daily until action is taken. I must learn to copy everything I type in case the server not found virus page does not load. Server Not Found Error Code
get the server not found message. However whenever I hit the refresh button or hit the try again button it load as if nothing happens. This happens on major sites too https://support.mozilla.org/questions/930062 (Google, HWC, Youtube, NCIX). Any ideas, or tests I can run on my end to see if it is a network problem or should I be contacting my isp (MTS[kind of like bell] DSL) about this? Use a free dns provider and change them to see if that helps. #3 (permalink) December 26, 2010, 07:12 PM sswilson Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: Moncton NB Posts: 16,211 My System Specs I'd suspect intermittant connectivity through your ISP. How often does it happen? Kinda hard for your ISP to troubleshoot an intermittant problem unless they happen to catch it while you're on the phone with them. __________________ Gigabyte Z97N-WIFI / i7 4770K / 2X 8G Gskill 1866 Sniper / XFX XTR 750 / EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ Corsair 380T / Corsair H100i GTX AIO/ Intel 730 Series 480GB SSD / Seagate Barracuda 1TB / Dell UltraSharp U2412M Asrock AM1H-ITX / AM1 Athlon 5350 / 2X4G Gskill PC3-14900 / Intel 6235 Wi-Fi / 90W Targus Power Brick / Uncased 256GB Sandisk Z400S SSD / Mini-Box M350 / 24" Westinghouse L2410NM #4 (permalink) December 26, 2010, 07:14 PM Tristan Rookie Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba Posts: 25 Quote: Originally Posted by sswilson I'd suspect intermittant connect

The Domain Name Server (DNS) is a server that translates website's addresses so that your browser can connect to them. Occasionally, you can lose connection to the server, through either corrupt settings or problems on the server's end. If you are having difficulties connecting, see Step 1 below to learn how to troubleshoot your problems. Steps Part 1 Verifying Your Connection 1 Connect another device to the network. Before you begin trying to solve the issue, it will help to know where the issue is occurring. You can narrow down the problem by performing a few quick tests. Connect another device to your router, either wired or wirelessly. You can use another computer, or a smartphone or tablet. Anything that accesses the internet will work to test. 2 Try to access a webpage from the second device. If you are still receiving DNS errors, then the problem lies in your router or with your ISP. If you can connect to the website, then the problem is coming from the first computer. 3 Power cycle your modem and router. Unplug your modem's power cable as well as your router's power cable. Allow them to sit unpowered for at least 30 seconds so that any residual charge is released and the memory is cleared. Reconnect your modem, and wait for it to fully connect. After it has powered on completely, reconnect the power cable to your router and allow it to boot up. This could take up to a minute. Once you have power cycled both devices, try connecting to a website again. If the problem still persists, move on to the next section
