2007. Guest Guest I finally found a solution to this problem!! "Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found." It is a corrupt form file. Once deleted everything work normally Here is how to do it. Close Outlook Go to
Frmcache.dat Outlook 2013
Control Panel, Open folder options, select view tab, down the you will see a hidden frmcache.dat is not valid files and folder, Select show hidden files and folders. Close the control panel. Open my computer and search down the directories. Local Disk (C>Users>(your the custom form cannot be opened outlook 2010 user name)>AppData>Local>Microsoft>FORMS Delete the folder named FORMS, its corrupt! Close the window and open Outlook 2007, everything should work fine now. You may want to go back to folder options and select to hide files and folders. Sol Hi Roady That's what got me. I never did a custom form. I run Outlook as it comes from Microsoft. I did a clean install of Vista and Office 2007 and did an easy transfer from my old setup (XP, Office 2003). The was there from the start; Could not install the custom actions. No other repair routine or install/uninstall fixed this problem. Only what I described brought about a solution. Thanks! It is located at C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\FORMS and contains the file FRMCACHE.DAT.This was on an XP machine so vista will be a little differant and i also had to unhide the system files to find it. Once it was deleted i restarted Outlook and it works again. When clicking on anything in Outlook 2007 sp2, the following error appears. "Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found." I found numerous articles out on the web that say to delete the contents of the forms directory. I do that and it fixes the problem. It keeps coming back though. I would like a permanent fix.
