Solved Problem where is frmcache.dat located in windows 7 with Outlook Forms error coming back Posted on 2010-08-26 Outlook Exchange MS Office 1 Verified Solution 6 Comments 2,890 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-13 I have a user that keeps having this recurring issue. When clicking on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/919596 anything in Outlook 2007 sp2, the following error appears. "Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found." I found numerous articles out on the web that say to delete the contents of the forms directory. I do that and it fixes the problem. It keeps coming back though. I would like a permanent fix. Here is the MS Article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2020427 We don't use any Outlook custom forms. We do https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26432950/Problem-with-Outlook-Forms-error-coming-back.html have the RightFAX client installed on all pc's including this one. 0 Question by:mcrossland Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 10 Active 4 days ago Best Solution byRudram * Possibly you might want to first clear the forms cache as below On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab. It talks about using ForceFormReload. Maybe try that? As the the cause, I don't know. It talks about memory issues so perhaps RightFax has had issue? Don't know though. 0 LVL 10 Overall: Level 10 Exchange 9 Outlook 5 MS Office 1 Message Active 4 days ago Accepted Solution by:Rudram2010-08-26 * Possibly you might want to first clear the forms cache as below On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Other tab. 2007. Guest Guest I finally found a solution to this problem!! "Could not install the custom actions. The object could not be found." It is a corrupt form file. Once deleted everything work normally http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/outlook-2007-could-not-install-the-custom-actions-problem-solutio.2839633/ Here is how to do it. Close Outlook Go to Control Panel, Open folder options, select view tab, down the you will see a hidden files and folder, Select show hidden files and folders. Close the control panel. Open my computer and search down the directories. Local Disk (C>Users>(your user name)>AppData>Local>Microsoft>FORMS Delete the folder named FORMS, its corrupt! Close the window and open Outlook 2007, everything should work fine the custom now. You may want to go back to folder options and select to hide files and folders. That took too much work! Guest, Feb 9, 2007 #1 Advertisements Roady [MVP] Guest Makes me wonder how you installed the custom Form in the first place. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more ----- "RaptorHawk" <> wrote in message news:... >I could not install finally found a solution to this problem!! > "Could not install the custom actions. Sol Hi Roady That's what got me. I never did a custom form. I run Outlook as it comes from Microsoft. I did a clean install of Vista and Office 2007 and did an easy transfer from my old setup (XP, Office 2003). The was there from the start; Could no
