to submit the form, I am getting below error: The form cannot be submitted because it contains validation errors. Errors are marked with either a red asterisk (required fields) or a red, dashed border (invalid values). I verified many times and I am not able to find the error..Anyway, I want to submit the form, even though it has errors. Is there anyway to do that? I don't need any validation to submit the form. the form cannot be submitted because the sharepoint list or document library cannot be found. Please advise. Reply Contact You won't be able to submit a form with errors -- that is kind of the point of Data Validation. However, you should be able to see what fields are causing the errors -- if they don't show on your view of the form, there should be a Details button on the error message that will tell you what fields have the problem. You will want to remove the data validation (or set fields to allow blanks -- that can cause these errors as well) accordingly. contain the expected value. Details: My customer was using the lookup type field on the InfoPath form and was selected infopath red dashed border the text from that drop down. After selecting the value, he was getting dashed border on that drop down and when we hover the mouse on it was showing "Only Positive Integer allowed". http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/12452/84913.aspx I went ahead and created another drop down and tried pulling the same data but even after selecting it, I didn't get any error. For further research, I opened the properties of both drop down: Image:2 The only difference which I found was Data Type of drop down. In the non-working drop down it was LookupType and in the working one it was ChoiceType. Customer https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/microsoft_infopath_bloggers/2015/03/05/getting-error-while-submitting-the-infopath-from-with-lookup-fields/ was getting validation error because you can't select text in LookupType field. Solution: Remove the existing drop down (Data type: LookupType) and create another drop down (Data Type: Choice Type) and pull the data from the same data connection, from where you were pulling before. It is expecting number in ID field. Reply Himanshu_Saxena says: October 22, 2015 at 9:45 am Hi, It is not necessary to have ID in the value column. We can have a text also this field is just to contain the actual value of the display value. Please let me know if you have any other question. When a browser-compatible form template is published to a server running InfoPath Forms Services, and then browser-enabled, forms based on the form template can be viewed in a Web browser. For example, when you add data validation to a control, you create explanatory text to be displayed when a user enters invalid data into that control. You can have this explanatory text appear in a ScreenTip, and optionally allow users to display an alert that contains ad
