It worked perfectly fine when I opened the box, but I was required to do an update in order for some applications to run. Once I upgraded to 10.7.5 and my hotspot never connects anymore. The same hotspot works perfectly fine on my iPad, and I have reset all settings on the phone and still have the same problem =/ Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Linc Davis, filezilla connection timed out mac Linc Davis Oct 21, 2012 1:50 PM in response to Marmaduke Maveric Level 10 (208,000 points) Applications Oct 21, 2012 1:50 PM in response to Marmaduke Maveric Try getting closer to the wireless access point. But having to drive around to find wifi spots in not very user-friendly.I thought there maybe a link to an apple upgrade I haven't downloaded yet.Kind regards - Richard Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Linc Davis, Linc Davis Oct 21, 2012 8:01 PM in response to Marmaduke Maveric Level 10 (208,000 points) Applications Oct 21, 2012 8:01 PM in response to Marmaduke Maveric Are you getting the connection timeouts with all networks, or only some? I have just gotten a new MacBook and I have 2 problems with WI-FI. I keep getting 'connection timeout' when i try to connect any WI-FI . I get this error when I click the network. However, when I wait enough time, it connects. In summary, it connects to WI-FI networks very well, but it keeps giving me timeout error. I read here, and you can see there are lots of people experiencing problems like this. But i couldn't find any solution. Also it doesn't remember my WI-FI networks' passwords. I'm choosing 'remember this network' checkbox but it keeps asking me for password after every boot. As I said this is a new MacBook. Could there be a problem with my computer's hardware? What should I do? Should I reinstall some drivers ? osx mac wireless-networking share|improve this question edited Apr 19 '13 at 1:59 terdon 33.3k66097 asked Apr 18 '13 at 14:22 Eray 3212613 Do you experience this problem only with your home network?
