I use Deluge 1.1.6 on 9.04 Jaunty and I find it far better than Transmission (crashes a lot, memory hog). michy99May 18th, 2009, 04:36 PMIf you save your screenshots as .jpg instead of .xcf, people can look at them without having to open gimp. smokyinkMay 18th, 2009, error connection timed out while attempting to scan the teamspeak server 04:48 PMno i haven't tried by reinstalling it... the most when things break. I'm in luck...something has broken big time...I can't error connection timed out error could not connect to server seem to get any connection with any torrent client. I've tried Deluge and Transmission, which always worked, no problem. I noticed error connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity filezilla this shortly after the 'networking' deamon went depricated. All ports are properly opened up, and nothing else has changed.I can post output of any commands that the gurus feel would be informative and https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1163065.html I thank you all in advance for taking the time to help me learn and fix this thing at the same time!Best,--D Offline #2 2011-08-10 07:45:05 stqn Member Registered: 2010-03-19 Posts: 1,189 Website Re: "Connection error" with all torrent clients What's the exact error/symptoms? Does it happen with different torrents/trackers? However, torrent files never seems to get started. They're idle and at 0.0% until they finally time-out.Again, I suspect it's something on my end, since I just switched ISP's and the problem is unchanged. Also, like I said earlier, this has started happening right after the 'network' daemon became depracated.Thank you,--D Offline #5 2011-08-10 18:14:51 alphaniner Member From: Ancapistan Registered:

The problem is one and only one: some torrent trackers administrators blacklist entire IP ranges, even all the IP addresses of whole datacenters sometimes. We will bypass such blocks, since there's no ethical, technical or moral reason NOT to do so. timed out Quite the contrary, actually. Some of those blocks are already bypassed right now, as you might have noticed: we're experimenting with Diadem and we'll do that, maybe slowly but surely relentlessly, in every and each server, if necessary. However please consider the following: 1) Bittorrent trackers were originally born to enhance and facilitate free flow of information on a error connection timed neutral and open Internet at the price of a dangerous centralization. There was no choice: mainline-DHT and PEX were in a development stage or even totally unimplemented on most clients, and Kademlia highly needed improvements. 2) Bittorrent trackers administrators who blacklist entire datacenters or wide IP ranges are, consciously or unconsciously, active enemies of a neutral and open Internet. 3) Bittorrent trackers usage is nowadays exploited by a wide range of privacy and freedom of information hostile, mentally deranged people that by simply interrogating a tracker obtain huge lists of IP addresses which are then exploited for filthy purposes. 4) Modern DHT, additionally empowered by PEX, has rendered Bittorrent trackers obsolete and mostly useless, as well as magnet links have rendered torrent files totally useless. I can hear someone screaming "the stats! the staaats!" ... I can only ask what do the stats mean in comparison to a free and open Internet, in comparison to the task of lowering the barriers to information access? First let's defeat those who want walled-gardens or gasp f

Make sure Sonarr is up to date on the develop branch (the torrents branch is dead), mono is 3.6 and that you're running mono with the --debug switch. If you're still having issues after that please post a new log and the versions of Sonarr and mono that you are running. joelones 2014-12-09 20:39:15 UTC #3 Thanks markus.
