Hiya,Can you post the make and model of the appliance please? When http://www.justanswer.com/uk-appliance/2k6k0-getting-e20-error-washing-machine-cant-find-hadnbook.html does this error code occur? Is it a washer dryer or washing machine? Thanks Ask Your Own UK Appliance Question Customer: replied7 years ago. Its a Zanussi Jetsystem 1600 washer only. It happens during rinse cycle. I have skipped to drain but I dont think it is draining Expert: Techdesk replied7 years ago. Hiya,OK, thanks for that.E20 is an error code for drainage failure.Check where the appliance drain hose connects to the house drains for a blockage. If it's onto a spigot under the sink, take them off and check both for a blockage. If these are ok then it's likely to be a blockage in the pump. You'll need to drain the water out manually.Put a shallow dish below the filter and slacken the filter.Tighten it to stop the flow of water while you empty the dish.Once empty, take the filter out, clean out the debris and ensure nothing is left jamming the pump. Before refitting the filter, put the machine on drain or spin and listen at the filter housing to see if you can hear the pump runnin

Share this conversation Expert: Techdesk replied6 years ago. Hiya,E20 indicates a failure to drain.First, check the drain hose where it attaches to the house drains for a blockage.Check the hose and the connection point. If ok, unplug the appliance.Pull the machine out and drop the drain hose into a bucket or wash basin.Raise zanussi washing machine the hose when you need to empty the container. If you can't pull the machine out to do this, I'm afraid the filter is the only other way to empty it.Put a towel and dish in front of the filter.Slacken the filter a little and drain the water into the dish.Tighten the filter when you need to empty the container.Once empty, take the filter out.Take the laundry out of the appliance.Set the machine to a spin programme (plug it in) and listen at the open filter to see if the pump is running. If it's not running, is it making a humming noise? If it's running, refit the filter, put some water into the appliance and check to see if it drains.Let me know what you find. Thanks Ask Your Own UK Appliance Question Customer: replied6 years ago. machine still has water in the drum after all this - nothing came from the hose into the bucket?
