Error codes will be displayed on your machine in one of two ways: http://www.how-to-repair.com/help/washing-machine-with-all-the-lights-flashing-hotpoint-ariston-indesit-creda/ Either on your digital display screen which will show an error code in a letter followed by two numbers format; Or washing machines without digital display it will show a series of flashing lights. There are different ways that these are displayed so you will need to consult your manual on these or let us know your full model number with the fault sequence and we will try and help you. These lights when flashing should be read in a binary fashion, these are the typical Hotpoint, Ariston, Indesit & Creda error codes or fault codes for washing machines and dryers. Now there may be some variances for older models, but there are 3 main types of board listed so you need to know what you are looking for. It may indeed be full of water - but not necessarily. This error code is used on some Indesit washing machines http://www.glotechrepairs.co.uk/news/hotpoint-washing-machine-error-codes/ too Before a washing machine spins the laundry it needs a signal that the water has pumped away successfully so it knows that it's safe to spin. This error indicates that for various possible reasons it's not getting that signal. This washing machine can be caused by a pump fault or blockage in the filter, but if this is the case then clearly when the fault occurs it should be stuck full of water or at least still have a fair amount inside (if so follow this not draining water guide and help stuck full of water). But if the water has pumped away OK and you still get this error then it's not a pump blockage, it's a fault elsewhere. Suspects are that the pressure switch washing machine error itself is jammed, (i.e. the switch is physically stuck), or it's being jammed on by air pressure due to a blockage in the pressure chamber bottle at the bottom of the thin tube (connected to the pressure switch). This can hold air pressure in the tube keeping the pressure switch on. In the latter case, pulling off the small tube at the base of the pressure switch should result in an audible click as the pressure is released and the pressure switch springs back to off. Other faults listed as possible causes for this error are faulty connections and even the pcb, which I wouldn't advise replacing. If you have this fault and can't see anything obvious - call an engineer Related to F05 fault finding How a washing machine controls water levels Faults on pressure system Comments Disabled Sorry, comments on this topic have been closed.
